Characteristics
- LifeStraw Go includes 2 advanced water filters, a microbiological and an activated carbon one, the bottle, a silicone cap and a carabiner.
- Filtration technology: Ultrafiltration with hollow fiber membranes with a permeability of 0.2μm and activated carbon. The hollow fiber membrane is a semi-permeable membrane, which various infectious elements try to penetrate. Items bigger than 0.2 µm fail to penetrate it, so they do not reach your glass. Activated carbon is widely used in water filters and it is the main water filtration and treatment means worldwide.
- Hollow Fiber membrane durability: 2,000 liters (500 gallons). The pores of the membrane are clogged with time as you use your bottle. As it nears the end of its life, you will see that water finds it difficult to pass through.
- Carbon filter durability: 100 liters (25 gallons). If you use it frequently, we recommend changing it every 3 months.
- Bottle material: Tritan plasticwithout diphenol. You can put it in the dishwasher as long as you remove the filters.
- Total weight with filters: 167 gr (0.37 lbs)
- Bottle capacity: 295,7 ml (10 fl oz)
- Dimensions: 19 cm x 8,5 cm (7.52” x 3.34”)
- Recyclable
Laboratory findings
In LifeStraw®, they believes that responsible manufacturing involves the creation and maintenance of a strong evidence base on the effectiveness of their filters and their impact. All products undergo rigorous and independent testing to comply with or even exceed the EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency). They have also set up their own ISO-certified laboratory in Vietnam that constantly tests the company's filters.
