Water softeners for sale online: Our softeners remove calcium (Ca ++) and magnesium (Mg ++) from water. These two elements form the total hardness in your water. Very hard water is generally undesirable because it can clog your house pipes and damage your electrical appliances (boiler, washing machines etc). Thus, we use a cationic resin in a sodium cycle, which binds the calcium and magnesium ions and exchanges them with sodium and potassium.

When this resin is exhausted, the softener must regenerate it. This is achieved by mixing it with a saturated solution of sodium (NaCl). These systems consist of the container into which the resin, the automatic control valve and the mixing vessel are inserted.

Softeners are divided into time and volumetric, depending on how they regenerate. In time softeners, regeneration is programmed by an electronic head for a specific time and day of the week, depending on how many salts you have in your area. In volumetric ones, regeneration is based on water consumption.
